This is the first of a series of pieces based on my exploration of trail systems across Table Rock State Park. Recorded by the UofSC Symphony Orchestra.
Commissioned by the Duende Flute Quartet, this piece is a combination of two contrasting styles, balancing strong melodic direction inspired by runs along the Congaree River and architectural elements of McMillan and Norfolk/Southern Bridges.
Check out my newest arrangement of Lil Nas X’s Old Town Road for marching band. I had the pleasure of working with the Georgia State University Panther Band and it was a great learning opportunity. A huge thank you to all the faculty and students involved with the recording, I hope you enjoy!
